THAAT! Label, Thoze Records, and 117 Records were initially conceived by internationally renown multi-platinum music producer and sound engineer Christopher Cuben-Tatum (Cuben) in 1995 to provide a desperately needed alternative for unique pop, rock, hip-hop, dance, R&B, smooth jazz, and funk artists that also demonstrate potential mass popular appeal.

As a 20 year veteran of the music industry associated with countless multi-platinum, chart topping, critically celebrated, and Grammy® award nominated artists in virtually every genre from deep house, world music, hip-hop, smooth jazz, electronica, R&B, industrial to everyday pop/rock -- Mr. Cuben has an unparallel diversity of successes in records, concerts, television, and motion pictures, yet is completely aware of fatal shortcomings in the traditional record company / artist / management relationship many aspiring and established acts endure.
